After 25 minutes, Douglas Dionísio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pindorama and the SAPI FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bawang Merah in the 42nd minute of play forced Pindorama's goalkeeper Hortêncio Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SAPI FC were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after Pindorama's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jens-Erik Mårtensson took the corner. SAPI FC's Jens-Erik Mårtensson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hortêncio Duarte in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jens-Erik Mårtensson's late challenge caught a Pindorama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jens-Erik Mårtensson helped the player get up and apologised. Jens-Erik Mårtensson hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The Pindorama supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SAPI FC's performance. The match ended with a win for SAPI FC.
