Dida Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matheus Correia in the 28th minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Nestor Paraibano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vânderson Saa, 1-2. If Toros No had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 39 played minutes IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡ got a freekick which was hit by George Best. Vânderson Saa made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Alfredo Martins sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd minute Matheus Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marquês de Herval were furious when Gao Xiang Guang was red carded, 47 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 48 played minutes Marquês de Herval got a freekick which was hit by Gao Xiang Guang. After 48 played minutes, IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s Gustavo Scarpa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dida Taffarel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡ reached it.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nestor Paraibano was the one to do the kick off. Dida Taffarel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toros No in the 53rd minute. The audience was convinced that German Cano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vânderson Saa was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Dida Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toros No in the 55th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Dida Taffarel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Murillo in the 62nd minute of play forced Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Dida Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustavo Scarpa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dida Taffarel having to make a save. Matheus Correia succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 71st playminute. Dida Taffarel came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s Matheus Correia. But to his dismay, Matheus Correia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s Gabriel Martinelli was substituted for Gustavo Scarpa. IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s Vivaldo Amorim was substituted for Claudinho Rocha. In the 79th minute Wambasther Ronaldinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's Nestor Paraibano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vânderson Saa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nestor Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vânderson Saa having to interfere. Dida Taffarel had great luck who in the 91stth minute grab hold of the ball when Jose Murillo from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 91 minutes into the game, Jose Murillo lined in a short shot 1-5 behind a frustrated Dida Taffarel. The Marquês de Herval fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
