The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amadeu Velloso helped the player get up and apologised. The audience was convinced that Giovani de Lara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Eduardo dos Santos was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Corumbaense F.C..
