With a little luck, Corumbaense F.C.'s Luís Eduardo dos Santos got control of the ball when Murilo Lucas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcos Paulista's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Eduardo dos Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Ferreira came free, but Arlindo Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antônio Carlos Bueno didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-0 via right post in the game's 11th minute. AF CERRADO's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Arlindo Guedes came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Corumbaense F.C.'s Fred Ferreira. But to his dismay, Fred Ferreira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Pedro França in the 21st minute of play forced AF CERRADO's goalkeeper Arlindo Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AF CERRADO's Arlindo Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruy Mota in the 24th minute of play. Arlindo Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruy Mota in the 29th minute of play. After 31 minutes, Antônio Carlos Bueno made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Corumbaense F.C.'s Luís Eduardo dos Santos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th minute Fred Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Lopez kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Ruy Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corumbaense F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ruy Mota was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arlindo Guedes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 41 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Ferreira came free, but Arlindo Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AF CERRADO's Arlindo Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Pedro França in the 43rd minute of play. Arlindo Guedes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fred Ferreira went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

Corumbaense F.C.'s Amadeu Velloso was substituted for Sandrinho Maranhense. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fred Ferreira to make the kick off. Arlindo Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruy Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rd minute, Fred Ferreira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arlindo Guedes was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. In the 58th minute, Corumbaense F.C.'s Wilian Capixaba seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Wilian Capixaba the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Corumbaense F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Wilian Capixaba had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 57th minute, one of Corumbaense F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Corumbaense F.C.. In the 61st minute there was a penalty for AF CERRADO. Jaime Pombal stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luís Eduardo dos Santos. 4-3. When AF CERRADO's Antônio Carlos Bueno in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Corumbaense F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. AF CERRADO made a substitution. Dennis Contaldi replaced Róbson Bittencourt. AF CERRADO made a substitution. Thiago Damião replaced Marcos Paulista. After 71 minutes Corumbaense F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaime Pombal who took care of the corner kick. Jaime Pombal made a great header on AF CERRADO's corner, it was just that Corumbaense F.C.'s Luís Eduardo dos Santos managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vânderson Camargo in the 73rd minute of play forced AF CERRADO's goalkeeper Arlindo Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Vânderson Camargo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arlindo Guedes. That made the score 4-4 in the 73 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Murilo Lucas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Eduardo dos Santos was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antônio Carlos Bueno in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Eduardo dos Santos saved Corumbaense F.C. from getting behind. Arlindo Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vânderson Camargo in the 82nd minute of play. With a little luck, AF CERRADO's Arlindo Guedes got control of the ball when Vânderson Camargo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Corumbaense F.C. defense, Antônio Carlos Bueno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Eduardo dos Santos. The Corumbaense F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Eduardo dos Santos should have stopped the shot. After 92 minutes, Antônio Carlos Bueno made it 6-4 with a short kick to the right side. Corumbaense F.C.'s Luís Eduardo dos Santos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Thiago Damião managed to get in a good position for a shot. AF CERRADO's supporters rose to their feet, but Thiago Damião was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Eduardo dos Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 96 minutes, Thiago Damião mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AF CERRADO and the Corumbaense F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Corumbaense F.C. booed when AF CERRADO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thiago Damião didn't get a good kick on the ball. Corumbaense F.C. were awarded a corner in the 99th minute after AF CERRADO's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dieguinho Neiva took the corner. After taking down the ball on Corumbaense F.C.'s corner Dieguinho Neiva fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arlindo Guedes quite easily take care of the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. AF CERRADO had played much better football throughout.
