Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Martin Palermo got the match started through his kick off. Ruben Sánchez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 3rd minute of the match. Hertha 1969's Wilhelm Nienhaus managed to work through La Candela FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Wilhelm Nienhaus dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Ruben Sánchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristian Oswald in the 6th minute of play. In the 7thth minute of the game Zé Paulo da Silva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Candela FC's Ruben Sánchez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ruben Sánchez came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Hertha 1969's Wilhelm Nienhaus. But to his dismay, Wilhelm Nienhaus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 11th minute of play forced La Candela FC's goalkeeper Ruben Sánchez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind La Candela FC's goalkeeper Ruben Sánchez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Martin Palermo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute Zé Paulo da Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Sánchez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 35 minutes on the clock, Roberto Rogel commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 34 minutes into the game, one of La Candela FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When Martin Palermo came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the La Candela FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Palermo couldn't finish the play. When Hertha 1969's Zé Paulo da Silva in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Candela FC's goalie prevented a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilhelm Nienhaus to strike the kick off in the second half. Ruben Sánchez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. Zé Paulo da Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Sánchez having to interfere. La Candela FC's Ruben Sánchez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save La Candela FC from getting a goal against them. Ruben Sánchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 60th minute of play. Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ruben Sánchez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 64 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastián Battaglia came free, but Rune Jarstein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. La Candela FC's Ruben Sánchez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 68th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruben Sánchez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 70th minute Sebastián Battaglia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Hertha 1969's Ruben Sánchez threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kristian Oswald, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the last second Ruben Sánchez throw himself and got hold of the ball when Kristian Oswald in the 72ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 73rd minute, Kristian Oswald left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hertha 1969 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Hertha 1969's Rupert Heidingsfelder was substituted for Wilhelm Nienhaus. Kristian Oswald could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Ruben Sánchez made a huge save. Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastián Battaglia in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Zé Paulo da Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ruben Sánchez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rupert Heidingsfelder, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute Kristian Oswald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Sánchez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ruben Sánchez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rupert Heidingsfelder in the 93rd minute of the match.
