The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 7 minutes of play, Sacronas Futbol Club's Bernabe Ferreyra made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ceferino Cresconio in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amador Iratxo saved Gastres FC from getting behind. After 20 played minutes Gastres FC got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Rios. Amador Iratxo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ceferino Cresconio, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Bernabe Ferreyra scored 0-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amador Iratxo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 30 minutes into the match, Gastres FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ceferino Cresconio came free, but Amador Iratxo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sacronas Futbol Club were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Gastres FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Esteban Txerran took the corner. The corner led Sacronas Futbol Club's Esteban Txerran to fire away a dangerous shot which Amador Iratxo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jorge Iribarren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Gonza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Kauldi hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Sacronas Futbol Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Aurelio Baladi scored to the left of an out of position Jorge Iribarren, making the score, 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Ceferino Cresconio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Amador Iratxo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amador Iratxo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Chiappe in the 56th minute of play. Amador Iratxo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernabe Ferreyra in the 58th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Bernabe Ferreyra dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Amador Iratxo, 1-3.
