Vaggelis Lalas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Zust in the 17th minute of the match. Azulgranas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marco Zust in the 18th minute. Vaggelis Lalas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sánchez Castruita, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Łukasz Fabiański stood somewhat misplaced when Jan-Olof Kämpe came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 21 minute. The supporters of Azulgranas booed when YELLOW FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Avraam Sevastopoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th match minute, Azulgranas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zadornin Goyeneta to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Tomáš Řehák in the 31st minute really tested Łukasz Fabiański's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Marco Zust hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. 48 minutes into the match, YELLOW FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sánchez Castruita came free, but Vaggelis Lalas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Avraam Sevastopoulos to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Marco Zust's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vaggelis Lalas was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Vaggelis Lalas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Berrios, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Vaggelis Lalas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Berrios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute of the match, Francisco Berrios tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vaggelis Lalas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 81 minutes in the game, Victoriano Movilla fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Vaggelis Lalas having to interfere. If Tomáš Řehák had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. YELLOW FC's Vaggelis Lalas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save YELLOW FC from getting a goal against them.
