Großaga FC's Fredi Feinbier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celedonio Perrando in the 7th minute of play. Fredi Feinbier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delmar Quico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hortensia FCG's Natalio Abreu suffered a concussion after 8 minutes and had to leave the field. Boris Rebmann charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Boris Rebmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 9 played minutes Großaga FC got a freekick which was hit by Boris Rebmann. After a rather tough play, Großaga FC's Tim Walcher got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute, Celedonio Perrando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Fox Schilling dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Melquiades Firman, 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Großaga FC's Wilfried Roth slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Melquiades Firman. That made the score 2-0 after 22 minutes of play. Hortensia FCG's Celedonio Perrando got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Hortensia FCG booed when Großaga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boris Rebmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, Julio Napier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the game, Wilfried Roth recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Melquiades Firman. Wilfried Roth showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Boris Rebmann got free with Melquiades Firman in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Großaga FC booed when Hortensia FCG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Weather didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Hortensia FCG's Melquiades Firman got control of the ball when Wilfried Roth tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 37 played minutes Hortensia FCG got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Weather.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Celedonio Perrando stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Boris Rebmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Firman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melquiades Firman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fox Schilling in the 62nd minute of play. Hortensia FCG's Melquiades Firman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fox Schilling in the 65th minute of play. After 65 minutes, Ivan Weather mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hortensia FCG and the Großaga FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th minute, Ivan Weather hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute, Fox Schilling ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Melquiades Firman was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Melquiades Firman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gerold Hähle went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. In the 80th minute, Gerold Hähle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Großaga FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. 85 minutes into the game, Großaga FC's Wilfried Roth nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melquiades Firman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. Melquiades Firman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerold Hähle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Fox Schilling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Großaga FC had played much better football throughout.
