With a left leg Sergio Romero saved The Waldos from getting behind. Robert Vassenius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Senio in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute, J.J Riquelme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, The Waldos's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Bikendi came free, but Sergio Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

RB Chubut's Isaac Mingo was substituted for Justino Heli. Isaac Mingo took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sergio Romero. Andrézinho Pelé took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sergio Romero. Sergio Romero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Andrézinho Pelé received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sergio Romero came out and tried to block the shot, but Andrézinho Pelé slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 77th minute. Andrézinho Pelé's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sergio Romero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. When The Waldos's Alphonse Tchami in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
