Alonzo Benet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Enekoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Palermo's Baldomiro Gamus got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcial Dantae had great luck who in the 21stth minute grab hold of the ball when Xherdan Shaqiri from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 22nd minute of the match Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. got a corner. Palermo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Domingo Norino ran over to the corner to take the kick. Domingo Norino made a great header on Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s corner, it was just that Palermo's Marcial Dantae managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 23rd minute Valentin Enekoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Benet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Baldomiro Gamus came free, but Alonzo Benet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Eusko hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Valentin Enekoitz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alonzo Benet was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s Alonzo Benet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomiro Gamus in the 29th minute of play. When Domingo Norino fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s protests and gave Domingo Norino a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Palermo booed when Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingo Norino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anibal Fernendo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute of the match Palermo got a corner. Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alvaro Ermano ran over to the corner to take the kick. After the first half Palermo were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Xherdan Shaqiri to strike the kick off in the second half. After 64 played minutes Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. got a freekick which was hit by Malcolm Braida. Domingo Norino took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcial Dantae. Marcial Dantae dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. A collision led to Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Felix Eusko hit a great ball. Constantino Maties recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 92 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Fernendo. In the 96th match minute, Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Remicio to maneuver through the defense.
