Deportivo Galicia's Dong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Koller in the 11th minute of play. Dong made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Oinomoas Konstantatos sent off a good shot on target. Orland Uceda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Dong made a huge save. Hermenegildo Menezes charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hermenegildo Menezes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hermenegildo Menezes hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jan Koller stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Oinomoas Konstantatos notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Deportivo Galicia's Dong. Dong was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 56 minutes into the match, Deportivo Galicia's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Koller came free, but Dong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st match minute, Deportivo Ortegano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orland Uceda to maneuver through the defense. Deportivo Galicia's Shi Cheng Yong was substituted for Sven-Åke Granberg. Orland Uceda hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Oinomoas Konstantatos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dong read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play.
