The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Estudiantes de Merida FC. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

This resulted in a 0-9 score and a disappointed Edmundo Pellicer as he didn't even see the shot coming. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valentine Hernandez got free with Edmundo Pellicer in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Estudiantes de Merida FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FITO APPLE TEAM's performance.
