In the 14th minute, Sten Andrejević ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abelardo Maranhense was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, Abel de Godoi notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of ROSÁRIO SPORT's Luiz Corrêa. Luiz Corrêa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Olivedos's Abel de Godoi was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 28th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Dean Harvey notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Olivedos's Abelardo Maranhense. In the 42ndth minute of the game Sten Andrejević who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olivedos's Abelardo Maranhense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luiz Corrêa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abelardo Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dean Harvey, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Olivedos made a substitution. Rômulo Custódio replaced Osvaldinho Veiga. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sten Andrejević to strike the kick off in the second half. ROSÁRIO SPORT's Ture Möllgren managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Luís Novaes in the 53 minute of the game. In the 54th minute Cássio Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ROSÁRIO SPORT made a substitution. Léo Araújo replaced Bruno Félix. A nice corner shot did that Dean Harvey got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Abelardo Maranhense quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Olivedos's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
