When Dean Harvey came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the ROSÁRIO SPORT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dean Harvey couldn't finish the play. Luiz Corrêa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sten Andrejević stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luiz Corrêa was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Luisinho Ceresso. After a rather tough play, ROSÁRIO SPORT's Sten Andrejević got a free kick in the 55th minute. Donato Oliveira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Luiz Corrêa made a huge save. Olivedos made a substitution. Abel de Godoi replaced Osvaldinho Veiga. Olivedos's Abel de Godoi got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Douglas Basso might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abelardo Maranhense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Douglas Basso ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice moves Donato Oliveira could shoot a difficult shot in the 81st minute, which Luiz Corrêa however easily saved by the left post.
