Seating: 93, VIP seats: 8) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vali Ghelmegean started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes -BZF- Chimia Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Moise Hurgoi. Sandu Cigu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vali Ghelmegean in the 5th minute of the match. -BZF- Chimia Buzau's Matei Blaga got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goal looked a bit too open when Matei Blaga came free, but Nechifor Epure reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th match minute, Academia Rio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernest Mahonea to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Sandu Cigu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vali Ghelmegean in the 26th minute of play forced -BZF- Chimia Buzau's goalkeeper Sandu Cigu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Moise Hurgoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ioan Oltean in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sandu Cigu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Academia Rio's Horia Berceanu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sandu Cigu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 40 minutes into the match, Vali Ghelmegean notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of -BZF- Chimia Buzau's Sandu Cigu. Sandu Cigu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Moise Hurgoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Martin Poenaru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Academia Rio's Nechifor Epure got control of the ball when Martin Poenaru tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in -BZF- Chimia Buzau's zone, Iulian Negulescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sandu Cigu came out of the goal and Iulian Negulescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute, Vali Ghelmegean ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sandu Cigu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After 61 played minutes -BZF- Chimia Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Matei Blaga. 62 minutes into the match, Vali Ghelmegean had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sandu Cigu. -BZF- Chimia Buzau's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vali Ghelmegean was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 65 minutes into the match, -BZF- Chimia Buzau's goal looked a bit too open when Vali Ghelmegean came free, but Sandu Cigu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Codrin Perșa scored 4-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sandu Cigu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 75 minutes into the game, Academia Rio's Ioan Oltean nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sandu Cigu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. In the 83rd minute Martin Poenaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nechifor Epure saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moise Hurgoi kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Moise Hurgoi charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moise Hurgoi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Academia Rio booed when -BZF- Chimia Buzau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moise Hurgoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 90th play minutes Ioan Oltean shot 6-0, a short shot which went by Sandu Cigu and just under the crossbar into goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vali Ghelmegean in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sandu Cigu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 95th minute, Vali Ghelmegean ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sandu Cigu was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Academia Rio walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
