Despite this Alfredo Joey quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alfredo Joey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Mustafa, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. DE COMERCIO's goalkeeper Alfredinho Gerber had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santiago Mino. DE COMERCIO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergio Mustafa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sergio Mustafa in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Joey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Arnoldo Medina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfredinho Gerber was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. 34 minutes into the match, Teodoro Nikola notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Palermo's Alfredo Joey. Alfredo Joey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. C.U.E. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The Palermo supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching C.U.E. DE COMERCIO's performance. The match ended with a win for C.U.E. DE COMERCIO.
