The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r defense, Aşır Zabit kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomas Ravelli. The S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomas Ravelli should have stopped the shot. Thomas Ravelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aşır Zabit in the 7th minute of the match. In the 11th minute KOCAELİSPOR were awarded a corner. Seyfullah Tuğsavan went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Seyfullah Tuğsavan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Thomas Ravelli quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Aşır Zabit in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Thomas Ravelli, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Onur Ali Batıhan in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Şemsettin Tuyuğ saved KOCAELİSPOR from getting behind. Şemsettin Tuyuğ took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yavuz Bülent İlkim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aşır Zabit's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thomas Ravelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. After some careless play in the S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r defense, Aşır Zabit kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomas Ravelli. The S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomas Ravelli should have stopped the shot. Şemsettin Tuyuğ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wang Rong Jing in the 32nd minute of the match. Thomas Ravelli made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Aşır Zabit sent off a good shot on target. Angelo Larralde kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. When Seyfullah Tuğsavan came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the KOCAELİSPOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Seyfullah Tuğsavan couldn't finish the play. KOCAELİSPOR's Romeo Bâru managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Behzat Amir in the 38 minute of the game. In the 45th match minute, KOCAELİSPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aşır Zabit to maneuver through the defense. Anastasio Lekubegi kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 51st minute of the match, Onur Ali Batıhan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Romeo Bâru kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Thomas Ravelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aşır Zabit in the 60th minute of play. In the 67th match minute, S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Behzat Amir to maneuver through the defense. KOCAELİSPOR's Aykut Nadi got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Şemsettin Tuyuğ showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yavuz Bülent İlkim, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Seyfullah Tuğsavan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Ravelli having to interfere. S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r's Thomas Ravelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Seyfullah Tuğsavan in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Seyfullah Tuğsavan made a precise shot to the right of Thomas Ravelli. S⚽ma S⚽tes Sp⚽r's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Şemsettin Tuyuğ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wang Rong Jing in the 84th minute of play. Aşır Zabit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 92 minutes into the match, KOCAELİSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Yavuz Bülent İlkim came free, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. KOCAELİSPOR had won after a very even match.
