The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, KOCAELİSPOR's Şemsettin Tuyuğ got control of the ball when Özgür Özbay tried to sneak it across the goal line. KOCAELİSPOR's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Özgür Özbay scored to the left of an out of position Şemsettin Tuyuğ, making the score, 1-0. Şemsettin Tuyuğ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sulo Montaña in the 9th minute of the match. After 10 played minutes LOI got a freekick which was hit by Fetih Avcu. 11 minutes into the match, LOI's goal looked a bit too open when Aşır Zabit came free, but George Buturugã reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sulo Montaña could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ made a huge save. KOCAELİSPOR's Şemsettin Tuyuğ proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save KOCAELİSPOR from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sulo Montaña got free with Şemsettin Tuyuğ in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Özgür Özbay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Şemsettin Tuyuğ tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 54 minutes of play, LOI's Özgür Özbay made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Şemsettin Tuyuğ was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in KOCAELİSPOR's zone, Cabbar Dinçay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Şemsettin Tuyuğ came out of the goal and Cabbar Dinçay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. KOCAELİSPOR made a substitution. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özgür Özbay in the 93rd minute of play forced KOCAELİSPOR's goalkeeper Şemsettin Tuyuğ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. LOI's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
