The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Kiril Adamski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ganyo Salmov charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ganyo Salmov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th minute, Ganyo Salmov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cam Bahč in the 10th minute of play forced Опълченците's goalkeeper Krum Konsulov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kiril Adamski kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Tomislav Kishev received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kurt Ekberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomislav Kishev slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 17th minute. Krum Konsulov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Sundin in the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes into the game, Tomislav Kishev was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Опълченците's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave IFK Gladdarna the free kick. Tomislav Kishev kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Georg Lundberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Krum Konsulov. Опълченците's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Georg Lundberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. 30 minutes into the match, IFK Gladdarna's goalkeeper Kurt Ekberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maksim Ganchev. In the 31st minute, Georg Lundberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The IFK Gladdarna fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. In the 35th minute, one of IFK Gladdarna:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for IFK Gladdarna. 42 minutes into the match, Georg Lundberg notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Опълченците's Krum Konsulov. Krum Konsulov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 46th minute, Georg Lundberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Krum Konsulov was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-6. The Опълченците players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. IFK Gladdarna were winning 2-6.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Georg Lundberg to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, IFK Gladdarna's Martin Sundin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Krum Konsulov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-7. Snorre Snabb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 58 minutes, Bratan Kalinov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Опълченците and the IFK Gladdarna players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th minute, Bratan Kalinov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 59 minutes, Frans Koopmans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IFK Gladdarna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frans Koopmans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Krum Konsulov was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Martin Sundin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-8 in the 61 minute of play. In the 64th play minute Cam Bahč came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Krum Konsulov. 2-9. Krum Konsulov stood somewhat misplaced when Kenneth Lööf came free in front of goal and shot 2-10 to the left of him in the 69 minute. Cam Bahč might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Krum Konsulov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cam Bahč ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Martin Sundin managed to get in a good position for a shot. IFK Gladdarna's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Sundin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Krum Konsulov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Martin Sundin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Krum Konsulov made a huge save. Cam Bahč received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Krum Konsulov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Frans Koopmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. IFK Gladdarna's Snorre Snabb got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 83 minutes into the match, IFK Gladdarna's Martin Sundin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Krum Konsulov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 88 minutes, Georg Lundberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IFK Gladdarna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Georg Lundberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martin Sundin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cam Bahč struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Krum Konsulov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IFK Gladdarna. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Krum Konsulov successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Georg Lundberg in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Krum Konsulov saved Опълченците from getting behind. IFK Gladdarna played a much better game than Опълченците and deserved their victory. The Опълченците players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
