The Club Deportivo Santiago fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gomez Ayo should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Anselmo Baldaia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gomez Ayo. That made the score 4-0 in the 41 minute of play. If Angelo Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Many of Club Deportivo Santiago's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Club Deportivo Santiago may have spent more time on the ball, but Terceirense F.C. were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
