The С О К О Λ Ъ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benedicto Iaki should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Fabinho dos Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benedicto Iaki was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Club Athletico Paulistano. The Club Athletico Paulistano supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Club Athletico Paulistano would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
