The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabinho dos Santos got free with Zbyszek Jarosiewicz in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Club Athletico Paulistano getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Glauco da Rocha hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the match, Club Athletico Paulistano's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Armando Riquelme came free, but Acácio Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Deissler in the 15th minute of play forced Club Athletico Paulistano's goalkeeper Acácio Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Dynamo Kielce's goalkeeper Zbyszek Jarosiewicz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabinho dos Santos. Sebastian Deissler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Acácio Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastian Deissler might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Acácio Lara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastian Deissler ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 27th minute of the match Club Athletico Paulistano got a corner. Dynamo Kielce's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Saad Dar ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a little luck, Dynamo Kielce's Zbyszek Jarosiewicz got control of the ball when Fabinho dos Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dynamo Kielce's goalkeeper Zbyszek Jarosiewicz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Club Athletico Paulistano's Glauco da Rocha managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Recep Talha Tolgunay in the 45 minute of the game. In the 46th minute, Fabinho dos Santos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Athletico Paulistano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sebastian Deissler made a kick off. Club Athletico Paulistano's Acácio Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Deissler in the 58th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Dynamo Kielce's Sebastian Deissler sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Acácio Lara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Acácio Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Deissler in the 61st minute of the match. Zbyszek Jarosiewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabinho dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 65 minutes into the match, Dynamo Kielce's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Paulo de Senna came free, but Zbyszek Jarosiewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Glauco da Rocha fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Athletico Paulistano's protests and gave Glauco da Rocha a yellow card for diving instead. After 68 played minutes Club Athletico Paulistano got a freekick which was hit by Glauco da Rocha. 71 minutes into the game, Glauco da Rocha threw the ball into play from the sideline. Dynamo Kielce's Recep Talha Tolgunay quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Fabinho dos Santos took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zbyszek Jarosiewicz. Zbyszek Jarosiewicz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 83 minutes into the match, Fabinho dos Santos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zbyszek Jarosiewicz. Dynamo Kielce's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabinho dos Santos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Glauco da Rocha was shown his second yellow card after 89 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 90th minute, Glauco da Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sebastian Deissler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastian Deissler's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 96thth minute, Acácio Lara skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. There was no doubt that Club Athletico Paulistano were the better team. Club Athletico Paulistano's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
