Club Atlético Temperley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Correia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Icoara Football Club's Durval Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Correia in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Adriano Vergílio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 27 played minutes Icoara Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Camargo. In the 28th minute, Club Atlético Temperley's Rolando Lopez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Durval Guerra. Durval Guerra yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Club Atlético Temperley's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Pitin in the 35th minute. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Marco Villerias advanced and headed the ball into goal, 3-0 in the 35th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Icoara Football Club's goalkeeper Durval Guerra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rolando Lopez. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristiano Correia made a kick off. After 50 minutes of play, Club Atlético Temperley's Cristiano Correia made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Durval Guerra was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Rolando Lopez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Temperley's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolando Lopez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Durval Guerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Rolando Lopez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Durval Guerra was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Durval Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Cordarell in the 60th minute of the match. After 61 minutes, Erik Antunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Icoara Football Club and the Club Atlético Temperley players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Club Atlético Temperley fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. 86 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Temperley's Cristiano Correia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Durval Guerra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Santana in the 91st minute of play forced Club Atlético Temperley's goalkeeper Ioan Voicu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Durval Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Lopez in the 93rd minute of the match. Club Atlético Temperley's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
