DENVER™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Seb Hedges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Márcio de Brito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Samurai Champions FC's Márcio de Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Seb Hedges in the 10th minute of play. Márcio de Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniël Orange, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mustafa Cumhur Gök was a little too slow when Peter Santos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-0. 18 minutes into the match, Samurai Champions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniël Orange came free, but Márcio de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Márcio de Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Seb Hedges, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The supporters of Samurai Champions FC booed when DENVER™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniël Orange didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Peter Santos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mustafa Cumhur Gök. Peter Santos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. 35 minutes into the match, Samurai Champions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Seb Hedges came free, but Márcio de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Márcio de Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Seb Hedges, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Peter Santos made a kick off. DENVER™'s Cosme Zaccardi shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 51st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Márcio de Brito but with some difficulty. Márcio de Brito made an important save on a dangerous shot by Seb Hedges in the 53rd minute. Peter Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Cumhur Gök having to interfere. Samurai Champions FC's Alfredo Di Cintio was substituted for Amílton Cordeiro. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Daniël Orange sped through Samurai Champions FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Márcio de Brito. In the 65th minute Cido Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mustafa Cumhur Gök saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Faustão Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Cido Recife's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mustafa Cumhur Gök read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Samurai Champions FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luís Eduardo Batista in the 80th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Seb Hedges kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Márcio de Brito. That made the score 2-3 in the 82 minute of play. Márcio de Brito made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Seb Hedges sent off a good shot on target. In the 88th match minute, DENVER™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosme Zaccardi to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Leite's late challenge caught a Samurai Champions FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfredo Leite helped the player get up and apologised. Diego Armando Messi hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. The DENVER™ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing DENVER™ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
