The audience thought a goal was coming when Benito Fiz got free with Camilo Salvidor in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Camilo Salvidor made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Enio Coelho sent off a good shot on target. In the 15th match minute, CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rein Keerme to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enio Coelho got free with Camilo Salvidor in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS's Ter Stefanek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 19th minute of play. Camilo Salvidor came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS's Benito Fiz. But to his dismay, Benito Fiz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The audience was convinced that Gabriele Batistuta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ter Stefanek was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enio Coelho in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Camilo Salvidor saved Menchu FC from getting behind. The corner ended in Prospero Jobo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor did a great save. Camilo Salvidor made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Enio Coelho sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 35th minute of play forced CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS's goalkeeper Ter Stefanek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 played minutes CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS got a freekick which was hit by Julian Casado. In the 46th minute, Enio Coelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabriele Batistuta was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS's goalkeeper Ter Stefanek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 62 minutes into the game, CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS's Enio Coelho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Camilo Salvidor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Gabriele Batistuta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ter Stefanek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Menchu FC's Primitivo Rocendo was substituted for Roberto Carlo. CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS's Edward Huyghebaert was substituted for Benito Fiz. Menchu FC made a substitution. Gaston Firmo replaced Peter Söderqwist. Menchu FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lucas Martínez Quarta in the 74th minute. Lucas Martínez Quarta made a great header on Menchu FC's corner, it was just that CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS's Ter Stefanek managed to reach the ball for a save. Camilo Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Huyghebaert in the 77th minute of the match. CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS's Ter Stefanek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 80th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Menchu FC's Ter Stefanek threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gabriele Batistuta, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 81 minutes of play, Menchu FC's Gabriele Batistuta made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ter Stefanek was left in no man's land by his defense there! Camilo Salvidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramón Furtado in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Menchu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ramón Furtado came free, but Camilo Salvidor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, Gabriele Batistuta made a precise shot to the right of Ter Stefanek. CRONOPIOS Y FAMAS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2.
