Maxi Gambetta might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ovidiu Caranfil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maxi Gambetta ran back to his position shaking his head. Ovidiu Caranfil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maxi Gambetta in the 24th minute of the match. In the 31st minute Club Vertigo were awarded a corner. Emilian Moți went to the cornerflag to take it. 34 minutes into the match, Club Vertigo's goal looked a bit too open when Maxi Gambetta came free, but Ovidiu Caranfil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Maxi Gambetta notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Club Vertigo's Ovidiu Caranfil. Ovidiu Caranfil was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Maxi Gambetta ran back to his position shaking his head. Maxi Gambetta charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maxi Gambetta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Maxi Gambetta hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Well-Well Benne was the one to do the kick off. A well-hit corner resulted in Deyan Iordănescu heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maxi Gambetta got free with Ovidiu Caranfil in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
