Koča Kafarov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jeremy Avellana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Jeremy Avellana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Club Dep. Soc. Rodo from getting a goal against them. 11 minutes into the game, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Gasteiz Latorre nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lu Zhen Sheng made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 15thth minute of the game Koča Kafarov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Jeremy Avellana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Koča Kafarov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Jeremy Avellana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. DREAM TEAM WORLD's Elpidio Curcio got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Danilo Mendonça made in the 33rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Marco Aguirre immediately put the ball in play. After some careless play in the Club Dep. Soc. Rodo defense, Koča Kafarov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeremy Avellana. The Club Dep. Soc. Rodo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeremy Avellana should have stopped the shot. 39 minutes into the match, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's goal looked a bit too open when Koča Kafarov came free, but Jeremy Avellana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Gasteiz Latorre ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lu Zhen Sheng was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After a rather tough play, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Danilo Mendonça got a free kick in the 44th minute. Rômulo Custódio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jeremy Avellana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Club Dep. Soc. Rodo made a substitution. Cao Kuan Wei replaced Marco Aguirre. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anthon Öberg to make the kick off. Lu Zhen Sheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthon Öberg in the 56th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Anthon Öberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lu Zhen Sheng narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jeremy Avellana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Koča Kafarov in the 62nd minute of the match. DREAM TEAM WORLD made a substitution. Paulo Jon replaced Elpidio Curcio. DREAM TEAM WORLD's Zachariasz Psotka was substituted for Jonathan Otto. DREAM TEAM WORLD made a substitution. Ştefan Grigore replaced Koča Kafarov. After 70 minutes DREAM TEAM WORLD's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Guto Pirani who took care of the corner kick. Lu Zhen Sheng made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anthon Öberg in the 82nd minute. Jeremy Avellana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ştefan Grigore, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 90th match minute, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Trasloseros to maneuver through the defense. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Jeremy Avellana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zachariasz Psotka in the 91st minute of play. Jeremy Avellana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zachariasz Psotka in the 95th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in DREAM TEAM WORLD fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 96th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 98 minutes, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Guto Pirani got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Lu Zhen Sheng. The Club Dep. Soc. Rodo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Club Dep. Soc. Rodo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
