Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sergio Mustafa in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeremy Avellana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Club Dep. Soc. Rodo booed when C.U.E. DE COMERCIO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magne Söderberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Danilo Mendonça managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Petter Danielsson in the 19 minute of the game. After 20 played minutes C.U.E. DE COMERCIO got a freekick which was hit by Seb Gentiletti. Sergio Mustafa might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeremy Avellana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sergio Mustafa ran back to his position shaking his head. Jeremy Avellana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Mustafa in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ipar Capitan to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the match, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Mustafa came free, but Jeremy Avellana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredinho Gerber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Del Manfredi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gasteiz Latorre got free with Alfredinho Gerber in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sebastião Gentiletti was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 37 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, one of C.U.E. DE COMERCIO:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for C.U.E. DE COMERCIO. C.U.E. DE COMERCIO:s Alfredinho Gerber showed great skill when he stopped Gasteiz Latorre:s penalty. Danilo Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Cao Kuan Wei was substituted for Marco Aguirre. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anthon Öberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C.U.E. DE COMERCIO reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anthon Öberg in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredinho Gerber saved C.U.E. DE COMERCIO from getting behind. After 67th play minutes Anthon Öberg shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Alfredinho Gerber and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind C.U.E. DE COMERCIO's goalkeeper Alfredinho Gerber, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 74th match minute, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Trasloseros to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, Salvador Romano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.U.E. DE COMERCIO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Rodo's attentive Danilo Mendonça managed to snatch the ball when Magne Söderberg made a throw-in in the 85th minute of the game.
