After 30 minutes Loco De Remate's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Erasmo Jago who took care of the corner kick. Gavino Iturri made a great header on C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's corner, it was just that Loco De Remate's Walmir Catarinense managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Aires in the 34th minute of play forced C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo's goalkeeper Petras Anusauskas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walmir Catarinense came out and tried to block the shot, but Godfredo Nuñez slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Hıdır Namal got free with Petras Anusauskas in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hıdır Namal made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 55thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Petras Anusauskas would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Petras Anusauskas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Aires, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. If Rene Aires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 64th minute Hıdır Namal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petras Anusauskas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, Wilfredo Nikola left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Loco De Remate's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo had won, even though Loco De Remate had held more of the ball.
