The audience thought a goal was coming when Roberto Cherro got free with Ruben Sánchez in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 14 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mandiyu's goal looked a bit too open when Rubén-Darío Feldmann came free, but Eulalio Bastian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes in the game Valentin Barco did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Miguel Nicolau. A collision led to La Candela FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Rubén-Darío Feldmann hit a great ball. Ruben Sánchez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhu Bin Kun in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd match minute, La Candela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastián Battaglia to maneuver through the defense. Ruben Sánchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhu Bin Kun in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mandiyu's goal looked a bit too open when Rubén-Darío Feldmann came free, but Eulalio Bastian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Palermo in the 32nd minute of play forced Deportivo Mandiyu's goalkeeper Eulalio Bastian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute La Candela FC were awarded a corner. Sebastián Battaglia went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Martin Palermo heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 40 minutes into the game, Zhu Bin Kun recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ruben Sánchez. Zhu Bin Kun showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 43 minutes into the game, Pipis Vattimos threw the ball into play from the sideline. La Candela FC's Orlando Medina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Zhu Bin Kun kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zhu Bin Kun was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th minute, Zhu Bin Kun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. La Candela FC were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Deportivo Mandiyu's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sebastián Battaglia took the corner. Eulalio Bastian was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Martin Palermo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 62 minute of play. A collision led to Deportivo Mandiyu getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Pipis Vattimos hit a great ball. Eulalio Bastian made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Martin Palermo sent off a good shot on target. Martin Palermo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Eulalio Bastian made a huge save. Martin Palermo took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eulalio Bastian. Eulalio Bastian dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 79 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mandiyu's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Palermo came free, but Eulalio Bastian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruben Sánchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhu Bin Kun in the 82nd minute of play. 84 minutes into the game, Pipis Vattimos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Mandiyu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Candela FC the free kick. After 84 played minutes Deportivo Mandiyu got a freekick which was hit by Pipis Vattimos. Rubén-Darío Feldmann's late challenge caught a Deportivo Mandiyu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rubén-Darío Feldmann helped the player get up and apologised. 87 minutes into the game, Roberto Cherro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Mandiyu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Candela FC the free kick. Ruben Sánchez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Cherro, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Zhu Bin Kun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ruben Sánchez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. La Candela FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
