Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vinnie Jones in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vicente Urre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 6 minutes into the match, La Candela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ricki Gervais came free, but Vicente Urre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Egg Chasers FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Patrick Toovey hit a great ball. Bartolo Estebe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 10th minute Bartolo Estebe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bradley Longstaffe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vicente Urre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricki Gervais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute of the match Egg Chasers FC got a corner. La Candela FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vinnie Jones ran over to the corner to take the kick. Angel Macerio hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Billie Curtis struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Vicente Urre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Egg Chasers FC. In the 28th match minute, La Candela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogelio Montes to maneuver through the defense. After 29 played minutes, Egg Chasers FC's Sebastian Selby shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vicente Urre came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Egg Chasers FC reached it. After 32 minutes of play, Egg Chasers FC's Danny Booth made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vicente Urre was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vicente Urre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricki Gervais, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After a rather tough play, La Candela FC's Rogelio Montes got a free kick in the 47th minute. 49 minutes into the match, Ricki Gervais had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vicente Urre. La Candela FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricki Gervais was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Ricki Gervais made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, La Candela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ricki Gervais came free, but Vicente Urre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Egg Chasers FC booed when La Candela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Macerio didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Danny Booth got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Billie Curtis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Vicente Urre made a huge save. La Candela FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Billie Curtis scored to the left of an out of position Vicente Urre, making the score, 2-4. John Bowden's late challenge caught a La Candela FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. John Bowden helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Bartolo Estebe managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Candela FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bartolo Estebe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bradley Longstaffe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bartolo Estebe in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal.
