In the 6th minute Clodoveo Ederono shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Dantae saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcial Dantae made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Celso Soin sent off a good shot on target. Marcial Dantae came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Aerolineas Argentinas FC's Serafin Roderigo. But to his dismay, Serafin Roderigo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Marcial Dantae showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enzo Dominguez in the 19th minute of the match. Palermo's Marcial Dantae played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enzo Dominguez in the 21st minute of play. Tomas Etxahun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Fernendo in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Aerolineas Argentinas FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Anibal Fernendo was slow to take the kick. During this time Palermo's players had a chance to rest. Anibal Fernendo made a great header on Palermo's corner, it was just that Aerolineas Argentinas FC's Tomas Etxahun managed to reach the ball for a save. Enzo Dominguez received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcial Dantae came out and tried to block the shot, but Enzo Dominguez slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 28th minute. Enzo Dominguez's late challenge caught a Palermo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enzo Dominguez helped the player get up and apologised. Aerolineas Argentinas FC's Tomas Etxahun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Enekoitz in the 34th minute of play. Valentin Enekoitz spun around in front of the goal 34 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Aerolineas Argentinas FC's goal. 38 minutes into the game, Donato Kelemen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palermo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aerolineas Argentinas FC the free kick. In the 38th match minute, Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Kelemen to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baldomiro Gamus to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Baldomiro Gamus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Etxahun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcial Dantae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Dominguez in the 54th minute of play. Mariano Saturnin lost his temper 55 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 56th minute, Mariano Saturnin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the game, Eulalio Lano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palermo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aerolineas Argentinas FC the free kick. In the 61st minute, Eulalio Lano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Beat came free, but Marcial Dantae reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Celso Soin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Dantae having to interfere. Serafin Roderigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th match minute, Aerolineas Argentinas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomiro Evangelista to maneuver through the defense. Serafin Roderigo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcial Dantae having to make a save. Aerolineas Argentinas FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Astor Beat in the 96th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Palermo's goalie and right to Sebastian Lübeck. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Palermo's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal.
