The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The throw-in from Freddy Quintyn in the 3rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by La Candela FC's Lu Yang Xing. 4 minutes into the match, Unidad de Matanza's goalkeeper Jonatan Eguzki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silverio Lluterio. After 11 minutes of play, Unidad de Matanza's Máximo Kirchner made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ramiro Gabrio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jonatan Eguzki was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Silverio Lluterio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Silverio Lluterio really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The audience was convinced that Silverio Lluterio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonatan Eguzki was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Jonatan Eguzki was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Silverio Lluterio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 20 minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, La Candela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Máximo Kirchner came free, but Ramiro Gabrio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramiro Gabrio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michal Stehno's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Unidad de Matanza's Jonatan Eguzki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Unidad de Matanza from getting a goal against them. Jonatan Eguzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silverio Lluterio in the 31st minute of play. After 33 played minutes Unidad de Matanza got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Quintyn. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Michal Stehno to strike the kick off in the second half. Ramiro Gabrio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michal Stehno in the 53rd minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Daniel Navarro in the 57th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by La Candela FC's Sebastian Mendoza. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michal Stehno got free with Ramiro Gabrio in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 64 minutes into the match, Unidad de Matanza's goal looked a bit too open when Lu Yang Xing came free, but Jonatan Eguzki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Martin Grøtterud kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ramiro Gabrio. That made the score 2-2 in the 72 minute of play. Unidad de Matanza's Lotfi Ziadi was substituted for Michal Stehno. After a rather tough play, Unidad de Matanza's Waldemar Okopny got a free kick in the 76th minute. Jonatan Eguzki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Servando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonatan Eguzki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurenz Goddez in the 80th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Unidad de Matanza's Ramiro Gabrio threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nestor Bâru, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Lotfi Ziadi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Ramiro Gabrio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute Nestor Bâru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Gabrio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonatan Eguzki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Servando in the 92nd minute of the match. Unidad de Matanza's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
