Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jarl Hafsteinsson got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justin Kluivert in the 2nd minute of play forced U21 Iceland's goalkeeper Ágúst Vilhjálmsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 Iceland's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rafnar Sveinsson was slow to take the kick. During this time V.V.V - Venlo's players had a chance to rest. The corner led V.V.V - Venlo's Ástþór Hilmarsson to fire away a dangerous shot which Ágúst Vilhjálmsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ágúst Vilhjálmsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarl Hafsteinsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Ágúst Vilhjálmsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Justin Kluivert's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jarl Hafsteinsson in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ágúst Vilhjálmsson saved U21 Iceland from getting behind. V.V.V - Venlo's Austmar Janusson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save V.V.V - Venlo from getting a goal against them. Engilbjartur Hallsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Austmar Janusson managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when U21 Iceland's Friðbert Kjartansson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Austmar Janusson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Engilbjartur Hallsson in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, U21 Iceland's goal looked a bit too open when Jarl Hafsteinsson came free, but Ágúst Vilhjálmsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Blængur Guðbjarnason was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Iceland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave V.V.V - Venlo the free kick. Jarl Hafsteinsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Ágúst Vilhjálmsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Justin Kluivert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Engilbjartur Hallsson to make the kick off. With a little luck, U21 Iceland's Ágúst Vilhjálmsson got control of the ball when Justin Kluivert tried to sneak it across the goal line. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when V.V.V - Venlo's Jarl Hafsteinsson in the 52nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Ágúst Vilhjálmsson was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for U21 Iceland through an amazing save. Austmar Janusson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Engilbjartur Hallsson in the 54th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafnar Sveinsson got free with Ágúst Vilhjálmsson in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. U21 Iceland's Dósóþeus Guðbjarnason was substituted for Engilbjartur Hallsson. Dósóþeus Guðbjarnason blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Austmar Janusson having to make a save. Erling Laufarsson took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Austmar Janusson. Austmar Janusson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Jarl Hafsteinsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Ágúst Vilhjálmsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ágúst Vilhjálmsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Justin Kluivert in the 71st minute. V.V.V - Venlo's Rafnar Sveinsson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ágúst Vilhjálmsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jarl Hafsteinssons short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Ágúst Vilhjálmsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Iceland's zone, Justin Kluivert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ágúst Vilhjálmsson came out of the goal and Justin Kluivert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute, Jarl Hafsteinsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ágúst Vilhjálmsson. The goal made the score 1-3. Ágúst Vilhjálmsson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jarl Hafsteinsson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 89 minute of play. When V.V.V - Venlo's Jarl Hafsteinsson in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
