In the 16th minute of the match, Ataulfo Gallaiztegui got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ovando Cabada was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 21st minute, Carnot's Cuero Pedrero ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ovando Cabada. Ovando Cabada yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 27th minute Cuero Pedrero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovando Cabada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Carnot's Cuero Pedrero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ovando Cabada made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Cuero Pedrero succeeded in the game's 31st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. Ovando Cabada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edwin Biembengén in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Odilon Mir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ovando Cabada was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Quiñónez Cocolina capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Quiñónez Cocolina really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. Ataulfo Gallaiztegui could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Ovando Cabada made a huge save. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Garaile Opacio did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 8-1 to the left of a surprised Cotera Meca 93 minutes into the match. Carnot walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
