Wágner Ribeiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bengt Bouchard's shot from short distance in the 2nd minute. Bob Dinamite recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 9 minutes into the match, FÊNIX F.C.'s goalkeeper Alfredo Paraibano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bob Dinamite. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Brasil in the 12th minute of play forced FÊNIX F.C.'s goalkeeper Alfredo Paraibano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute, Gilberto Leite left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FÊNIX F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Wágner Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquinhos Teixeira in the 17th minute of play. In the 18thth minute of the game Bob Chute who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FÊNIX F.C.'s Alfredo Paraibano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Bob Chute sped through FÊNIX F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alfredo Paraibano. FÊNIX F.C. were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Misericordia EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marquinhos Teixeira took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Marquinhos Teixeira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wágner Ribeiro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bengt Bouchard in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wágner Ribeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wágner Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marquinhos Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wágner Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquinhos Teixeira in the 30th minute of play. After 30 minutes, Marquinhos Teixeira made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Misericordia EC's Wágner Ribeiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 35th minute, Misericordia EC's Bob Dinamite ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alfredo Paraibano. Alfredo Paraibano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Wágner Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt Bouchard in the 41st minute of the match. FÊNIX F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Bob Chute scored to the left of an out of position Alfredo Paraibano, making the score, 3-2. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bob Chute to strike the kick off in the second half. Bengt Bouchards short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Wágner Ribeiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Wágner Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marquinhos Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute, FÊNIX F.C.'s Evaristo Martins seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Evaristo Martins the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FÊNIX F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Evaristo Martins had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 58 minutes into the game, one of FÊNIX F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Alfredo Paraibano had in the 60thth minute some difficulties stopping Bob Dinamite's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the FÊNIX F.C. defense, Bob Dinamite kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredo Paraibano. The FÊNIX F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredo Paraibano should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marquinhos Teixeira in the 62nd minute of play forced Misericordia EC's goalkeeper Wágner Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Marquinhos Teixeira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wágner Ribeiro was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. FÊNIX F.C.'s Alfredo Paraibano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Dinamite in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th match minute, FÊNIX F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marquinhos Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Misericordia EC's goalkeeper Wágner Ribeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, Misericordia EC's Bob Chute sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfredo Paraibano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 75 minutes into the game, one of FÊNIX F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Alfredo Paraibano had in the 76thth minute some difficulties stopping Bob Dinamite's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marquinhos Teixeira in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wágner Ribeiro saved Misericordia EC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marquinhos Teixeira in the 81st minute of play forced Misericordia EC's goalkeeper Wágner Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wágner Ribeiro didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 85th minute, which inside left pole to 4-3. After 88 played minutes FÊNIX F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Bengt Bouchard. Marquinhos Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 93 minutes into the match, Misericordia EC's Bob Dinamite sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfredo Paraibano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bengt Bouchard kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Alfredo Paraibano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bob Dinamite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kauã Moreno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wágner Ribeiro having to make a save. Wágner Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquinhos Teixeira in the 100th minute of play.
