But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 毛明昆 couldn't finish the play. Edvin van der Sar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filiberto Cristofor, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. With a little luck, El Imperio del Cuervo's Paulino Onofre got control of the ball when 毛明昆 tried to sneak it across the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Paulino Onofre successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Denílson Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paulino Onofre made an important save on a dangerous shot by 毛明昆 in the 33rd minute. 毛明昆 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Paulino Onofre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulino Onofre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denílson Tepedino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If 毛明昆 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Denílson Tepedino struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Paulino Onofre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Proteu. When 毛明昆 came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Proteu fans jumped to their feet. After 47 played minutes El Imperio del Cuervo got a freekick which was hit by Kuido Rihma. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ermegildo Perez charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ermegildo Perez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that 毛明昆's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulino Onofre was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. 82 minutes into the match, Denílson Tepedino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulino Onofre. El Imperio del Cuervo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Denílson Tepedino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Hílton Vasconcelos kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 毛明昆 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. In the 96th match minute, El Imperio del Cuervo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kuido Rihma to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Proteu were the better team. Proteu's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
