The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rony Zanette showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dacian Puiu in the 2nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tage Backlund in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rosendo Seguinus saved ASF BAIA MARE -MM- from getting behind. Tage Backlund might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rosendo Seguinus. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tage Backlund ran back to his position shaking his head. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Rosendo Seguinus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tage Backlund in the 14th minute of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Sandu Gheorghiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Sandu Gheorghiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dacian Puiu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rony Zanette came out and tried to block the shot, but Dacian Puiu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tage Backlund in the 25th minute of play forced ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Rosendo Seguinus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Xiboquinha FC fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Xiboquinha FC's Tage Backlund looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 30th minute Sandu Gheorghiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rony Zanette saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rony Zanette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandu Gheorghiu in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tage Backlund in the 34th minute of play forced ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Rosendo Seguinus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xiboquinha FC's Rony Zanette played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Huștiu in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Eugen Lupea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rony Zanette was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Manoel Couto charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manoel Couto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rony Zanette made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victor Huștiu in the 47th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Remus Vermeşan to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Eric Ţirpescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ASF BAIA MARE -MM- and the Xiboquinha FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remus Vermeşan in the 54th minute of play forced Xiboquinha FC's goalkeeper Rony Zanette to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rosendo Seguinus made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Tage Backlund sent off a good shot on target. If Tage Backlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xiboquinha FC's Jeremias Preuss was substituted for Tage Backlund. After 59 played minutes ASF BAIA MARE -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Sandu Gheorghiu. In the 60th minute César Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosendo Seguinus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rosendo Seguinus made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Jeremias Preuss sent off a good shot on target. 70 minutes into the match, Xiboquinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Huștiu came free, but Rony Zanette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Rosendo Seguinus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Preuss in the 72nd minute of play. The supporters of ASF BAIA MARE -MM- booed when Xiboquinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albano Eladio didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Rosendo Seguinus got control of the ball when Jeremias Preuss tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jeremias Preuss who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Rosendo Seguinus when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 78 minutes into the match, Xiboquinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Huștiu came free, but Rony Zanette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Remus Vermeşan in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rony Zanette prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rosendo Seguinus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Preuss in the 81st minute of the match. Rosendo Seguinus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Preuss, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 95 minutes into the match, Xiboquinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Lupea came free, but Rony Zanette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Rosendo Seguinus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save ASF BAIA MARE -MM- from getting a goal against them. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
