The supporters of Purple Shadows booed when Atlético Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Mendez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Purple Shadows's Gorom Kanø slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alfredo Fix. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. 9 minutes into the match, Relja Jurišić notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Atlético Nacional's Alfredo Fix. Alfredo Fix was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 12th minute, Primitivo Mendez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baltasar Guillerme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dobromir Keep having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Vicente Sasoin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dobromir Keep was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. 26 minutes into the match, Purple Shadows's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Sasoin came free, but Dobromir Keep reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tonin Zogu kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Anier Mel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dobromir Keep having to interfere. After having played for 36 minutes, Celestino Rudolfo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Nacional's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celestino Rudolfo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Higinio Ofelio hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Alfredo Fix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulryk Milan in the 41st minute of the match. Purple Shadows's Dobromir Keep played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Sasoin in the 42nd minute of play. When Higinio Ofelio fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Nacional's protests and gave Higinio Ofelio a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Atlético Nacional's Higinio Ofelio got a free kick in the 44th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vicente Sasoin to make the kick off. Dobromir Keep made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Baltasar Guillerme sent off a good shot on target. In the 64th minute, Gorom Kanø ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredo Fix was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Atlético Nacional's Vicente Sasoin got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Atlético Nacional's Higinio Ofelio got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Purple Shadows's Dobromir Keep proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Purple Shadows from getting a goal against them. 80 minutes into the match, Purple Shadows's goalkeeper Dobromir Keep had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vicente Sasoin. In the 86th minute, Tadeo Barea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atlético Nacional's Alfredo Fix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tonin Zogu in the 88th minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, Ulryk Milan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Alfredo Fix was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 93 minutes in the game, Gorom Kanø dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. When the referee ended the match the Purple Shadows players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
