But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nemesio Santo couldn't finish the play. When Augusto Lander fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Muñeco FC's protests and gave Augusto Lander a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Muñeco FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Augusto Lander hit a great ball. The Miraflores players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Muñeco FC were winning 0-3.

The supporters of Muñeco FC booed when Miraflores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Lertxun didn't get a good kick on the ball. 52 minutes into the match, Vladimiro Lazcano sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Leonardo Firmin threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Vladimiro Lazcano this time. Nemesio Santo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Emiliano Orixe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Miraflores's Leonardo Firmin got control of the ball when Domingos Etxeberri tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hermengildo Domeka came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Leonardo Firmin could save by the left post. Gervasio Maore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Leonardo Firmin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 76 minutes, Domingos Etxeberri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Muñeco FC and the Miraflores players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Miraflores booed when Muñeco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Etxeberri didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Augusto Lander put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Leonardo Firmin. Miraflores's Leonardo Firmin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Miraflores from getting a goal against them. Hermengildo Domeka hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Leonardo Firmin was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Augusto Lander capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Augusto Lander really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. The Muñeco FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Muñeco FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
