Leon Mentus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kroton F.C.'s Alfredo Fini got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leon Mentus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Fini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leon Mentus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Margoni in the 11th minute of play. If Antoni Falke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Margoni in the 16th minute of play forced Piotrków Trybunalski's goalkeeper Leon Mentus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leon Mentus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Fini in the 24th minute of the match. A collision led to Kroton F.C. getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Davide Zangari hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Dennis Cusumano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernesto Margoni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 33rdth minute of the game Ernesto Margoni who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Piotrków Trybunalski's Leon Mentus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kroton F.C.'s Davide Zangari was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Leon Mentus in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ernesto Margoni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Piotrków Trybunalski's Leon Mentus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Cusumano in the 37th minute of play. Ernesto Margoni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Mentus having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Fini in the 42nd minute of play forced Piotrków Trybunalski's goalkeeper Leon Mentus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd match minute, Piotrków Trybunalski was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartosz Miazga to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Ernesto Margoni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Alfredo Fini managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kroton F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Fini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leon Mentus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kacper Domala was the one to do the kick off. Alfredo Fini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leon Mentus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dennis Cusumano's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. In the 62nd minute, Alfredo Fini ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leon Mentus was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Piotrków Trybunalski's Leon Mentus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Margoni in the 66th minute of play. Leon Mentus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Margoni, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After 68 played minutes Piotrków Trybunalski got a freekick which was hit by Bartosz Miazga. In the 69th minute of the match Davide Zangari shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leon Mentus showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Margoni in the 70th minute of play forced Piotrków Trybunalski's goalkeeper Leon Mentus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leon Mentus was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Davide Zangari showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 73 minute of play.
