AP Tempo's Zbyszek Smolarek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Américo Vasconcelos in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Josué Câmara made a precise shot to the right of Zbyszek Smolarek. AP Tempo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 15 minutes into the game, Silvério Vasconcelos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Zbyszek Smolarek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Silvério Vasconcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Zbyszek Smolarek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute Silvério Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zbyszek Smolarek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, MZ Fénix's Silvério Vasconcelos got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Waclaw Zbydniowski charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Waclaw Zbydniowski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th match minute, AP Tempo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waclaw Zbydniowski to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Silvério Vasconcelos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zbyszek Smolarek was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. After 30 minutes of play, MZ Fénix's Silvério Vasconcelos made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Silvério Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot. MZ Fénix's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvério Vasconcelos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zbyszek Smolarek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th minute, Silvério Vasconcelos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Boleslaw Dropinski to make the kick off. MZ Fénix's Silvério Vasconcelos got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Silvério Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zbyszek Smolarek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silvério Vasconcelos went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. In the 62nd match minute, MZ Fénix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Camargo to maneuver through the defense. Silvério Vasconcelos succeeded in the game's 66th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-7. Zbyszek Smolarek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvério Vasconcelos in the 72nd minute. Zbyszek Smolarek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvério Vasconcelos in the 75th minute of the match. Nicolas Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the game, Waclaw Zbydniowski threw the ball into play from the sideline. MZ Fénix's Manuel Rego quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Zbyszek Smolarek was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Silvério Vasconcelos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-9 in the 89 minute of play. After 92 played minutes AP Tempo got a freekick which was hit by Waclaw Zbydniowski. After a defensive mix-up in AP Tempo's zone, Silvério Vasconcelos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zbyszek Smolarek came out of the goal and Silvério Vasconcelos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
