The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Amola Chauchard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Miguel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Anísio Esteves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abelardo Olayo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanni Maia in the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Geovanni Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Olayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amola Chauchard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abelardo Olayo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanni Maia in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Alvaro Guillem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the match, Amola Chauchard notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of GRÊMIO's Carlos Miguel. Carlos Miguel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Amola Chauchard might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Miguel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amola Chauchard ran back to his position shaking his head. Carlos Miguel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amola Chauchard in the 30th minute of play. Geovanni Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Serafin Cerilo hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as GRÊMIO's João Ceresso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abelardo Olayo. That made the score 1-2 after 40 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustavo Faro during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of GRÊMIO booed when La luz del Lider ❤ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Faro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abelardo Olayo made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Roberto Fontes sent off a good shot on target.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amola Chauchard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Abelardo Olayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Ceresso, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. La luz del Lider ❤ were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after GRÊMIO's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Serafin Cerilo took the corner. The corner led La luz del Lider ❤'s Serafin Cerilo to fire away a dangerous shot which Carlos Miguel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amola Chauchard in the 69th minute of play forced GRÊMIO's goalkeeper Carlos Miguel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Geovanni Maia made a precise shot to the right of Abelardo Olayo. La luz del Lider ❤'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Amola Chauchard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 87th minute, La luz del Lider ❤'s Alvaro Guillem seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alvaro Guillem the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of La luz del Lider ❤ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alvaro Guillem had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 88th minute there was a penalty for GRÊMIO. Roger Machado stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Abelardo Olayo. 3-2. Aristides Abadia kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The GRÊMIO fans cheered their team off the field, for while La luz del Lider ❤ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
