Lamine Xande started the match with the kick off. If Basílio Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giga Hertz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xandinho Kane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basílio Nogueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Xande Buffon made a huge save. In the 8th minute, Tobiasz Bejger made a precise shot to the right of Xande Buffon. New Joinville - FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Xande Buffon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tobiasz Bejger in the 11th minute. After 13 minutes of play, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Xandinho Kane made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giga Hertz was left in no man's land by his defense there! With an all-out effort, Limoeiro-PE FC's Xande Buffon threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Basílio Nogueira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 23 played minutes New Joinville - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Durvalino Travassos. After a defensive mix-up in New Joinville - FSCMZ's zone, Júnior Galego stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xande Buffon came out of the goal and Júnior Galego tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xandinho Kane in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giga Hertz saved Limoeiro-PE FC from getting behind. Durvalino Travassos hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Júnior Galego got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 29 played minutes Limoeiro-PE FC got a freekick which was hit by Irwin Pustak. 33 minutes into the game, Ronaldo Viana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New Joinville - FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Limoeiro-PE FC the free kick. The supporters of Limoeiro-PE FC booed when New Joinville - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldo Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Limoeiro-PE FC's Júnior Galego shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 34th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Xande Buffon but with some difficulty. 40 minutes into the match, New Joinville - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Walmyr Salles came free, but Xande Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. New Joinville - FSCMZ's Ronaldo Viana got his second yellow card of the match in the 41st minute. The referee ordered Ronaldo Viana off the ground. 44 minutes into the match, New Joinville - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Xande Buffon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Basílio Nogueira. 46 minutes into the match, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Lamine Xande sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giga Hertz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Lamine Xande's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Giga Hertz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute Tobiasz Bejger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xande Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lamine Xande in the 66th minute of play forced Limoeiro-PE FC's goalkeeper Giga Hertz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobiasz Bejger in the 67th minute of play forced New Joinville - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Xande Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, New Joinville - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Basílio Nogueira came free, but Xande Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Walmyr Salles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Limoeiro-PE FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Limoeiro-PE FC's Lascăr de Backer was substituted for Basílio Nogueira. Giga Hertz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lamine Xande in the 82nd minute of play. Sidnei Velloso hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. The attack was good, but when Lamine Xande in the 87th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lamine Xande in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giga Hertz saved Limoeiro-PE FC from getting behind.
