Derwin Alcalde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciriaco Cordarrell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciriaco Cordarrell in the 18th minute of play forced Sant Bartolomeu FC's goalkeeper Derwin Alcalde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciriaco Cordarrell in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Derwin Alcalde prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ildefonso Bartumeu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Julio Ferman skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Sant Bartolomeu FC booed when SAN LORENZO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Matosas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baldemar Cifuentes's late challenge caught a SAN LORENZO FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baldemar Cifuentes helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Michael in the 40th minute of play forced Sant Bartolomeu FC's goalkeeper Derwin Alcalde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ildefonso Bartumeu in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Ferman saved SAN LORENZO FC from getting behind. Raimundo Domiku took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Derwin Alcalde. Derwin Alcalde dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ildefonso Bartumeu was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to SAN LORENZO FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Raimundo Domiku hit a great ball. If Ciriaco Cordarrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Ferman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Bartumeu in the 61st minute of play. After a rather tough play, SAN LORENZO FC's Claudio Quentin got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 67 played minutes SAN LORENZO FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Quentin. After a rather tough play, Sant Bartolomeu FC's Luar Rapado got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciriaco Cordarrell in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Marcelo Michael took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Derwin Alcalde. Sant Bartolomeu FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 77 played minutes Sant Bartolomeu FC got a freekick which was hit by Felipo Sevilla. Sant Bartolomeu FC's Derwin Alcalde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciriaco Cordarrell in the 82nd minute of play. Gustavo Matosas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Derwin Alcalde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle went the supporters of SAN LORENZO FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Sant Bartolomeu FC side.
