The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Fagundes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Feliz in the 43rd minute of play. After 45 minutes of play, Lima Team's Honorato Amaral made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romeo Pedroso was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Club Universidad Nacional players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lima Team were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carmelo Feliz to strike the kick off in the second half. Honorato Amaral scored 0-4 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Romeo Pedroso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Feliz in the 57th minute of play forced Lima Team's goalkeeper Paulo Fagundes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Club Universidad Nacional's Romeo Pedroso got control of the ball when Honorato Amaral tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonides Ofelio in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Fagundes saved Lima Team from getting behind. Anselmo Domingos kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Carmelo Feliz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo Fagundes. Lima Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carmelo Feliz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. After a rather tough play, Lima Team's Nélson Bentes got a free kick in the 74th minute. Oscar Lalla got his second yellow card in the match during the 76th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Oscar Lalla hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Romeo Pedroso was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Wilson Frois. After a defensive mix-up in Lima Team's zone, Teodosio Sendoa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Fagundes came out of the goal and Teodosio Sendoa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teodosio Sendoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Fagundes having to interfere. Ovidio Luken kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Club Universidad Nacional's Romeo Pedroso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Club Universidad Nacional from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 93 in the game by Nélson Bentes from a close distance when the talented Romeo Pedroso managed to make a qualified save. Club Universidad Nacional's players were relieved. The Lima Team players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
