The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Gremio Viana's goal looked a bit too open when Ardo Teras came free, but João Carvalhais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Ardo Teras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nisu Unn's supporters rose to their feet, but Ardo Teras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Carvalhais breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ardo Viru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Pádua, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute, Ardo Teras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gremio Viana's João Carvalhais proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Gremio Viana from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute Inácio Pádua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ardo Viru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ardo Teras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nisu Unn's Ardo Viru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inácio Pádua in the 25th minute of play. Ardo Teras received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. João Carvalhais came out and tried to block the shot, but Ardo Teras slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 26th minute. Nisu Unn's Ardo Viru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inácio Pádua in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Inácio Pádua left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gremio Viana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The throw-in from Juan Pis in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Gremio Viana's Alexandre Onofre. Alexandre Onofre charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexandre Onofre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Nisu Unn booed when Gremio Viana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Onofre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Inácio Pádua was the one to do the kick off. Inácio Pádua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ardo Viru having to interfere. In the 65thth minute of the game Ardo Teras who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gremio Viana's João Carvalhais was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Gremio Viana's Alexandre Onofre got a free kick in the 71st minute. Nisu Unn made a substitution. Normando Guztros replaced Ahmet Boran Topdemir. Nisu Unn's Kuido Haavistu was substituted for Yağızalp Beyazit. João Carvalhais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alo Nigol in the 74th minute of play. When José Ventura fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gremio Viana's protests and gave José Ventura a yellow card for diving instead. Alexandre Onofre made in the 79th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Nisu Unn's Juan Pis. When Inácio Pádua came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Gremio Viana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inácio Pádua couldn't finish the play. Alexandre Onofre kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alo Nigol in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Carvalhais saved Gremio Viana from getting behind. In the 89th minute, Alexandre Onofre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alo Nigol struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. João Carvalhais didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nisu Unn. João Carvalhais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alo Nigol, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
