Leonides Lugo came out of the goal and Gian-Carlo Checa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonides Lugo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xicu Cuadrado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonides Lugo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saverio Baamonde in the 36th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xicu Cuadrado in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonides Lugo saved Showtime FC from getting behind. Leonides Samaniego received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Leonides Lugo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saverio Baamonde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Showtime FC defense, Emesto Villarreal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonides Lugo. The Showtime FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonides Lugo should have stopped the shot. The Showtime FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. E L C O K O F C ® E V G ® were winning 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Melquiades Sanduru made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Showtime FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauricio Cebrian to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th play minute Saverio Baamonde came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Leonides Lugo. 0-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saverio Baamonde got free with Leonides Lugo in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 76 minutes of play, E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s Xicu Cuadrado made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonides Lugo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 80th minute, Mauricio Cebrian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Showtime FC's Leonides Lugo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Showtime FC from getting a goal against them. Leonides Lugo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emesto Villarreal in the 96th minute. E L C O K O F C ® E V G ® played a much better game than Showtime FC and deserved their victory. The Showtime FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
