That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. In the 7th minute Väinö Caca-Rato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony da Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th minute, Väinö Caca-Rato made a precise shot to the right of Tony da Mata. Izaltina FAD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Väinö Caca-Rato in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tony da Mata saved Izaltina FAD from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Paranaense in the 17th minute of play forced Batalhão do Peçanha's goalkeeper Aga Raben to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute of the match Izaltina FAD got a corner. Batalhão do Peçanha's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Cabral ran over to the corner to take the kick. 29 minutes into the match, Väinö Caca-Rato had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tony da Mata. Izaltina FAD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Väinö Caca-Rato was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Aga Raben made an important save on a dangerous shot by Osmar Donato in the 32nd minute. Joga Ponta charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joga Ponta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th match minute, Batalhão do Peçanha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joga Ponta to maneuver through the defense. Jaime Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Tony da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Väinö Caca-Rato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute Cristóvão Paranaense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aga Raben saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Izaltina FAD players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Batalhão do Peçanha were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osmar Donato was the one to do the kick off. Tony da Mata stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Osvaldinho Paes's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute, Vindoo De Hond fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tony da Mata, passed just outside the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osmar Donato in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aga Raben saved Batalhão do Peçanha from getting behind. Joga Ponta got his second yellow card in the match during the 61st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Tony da Mata made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Vindoo De Hond sent off a good shot on target. Vindoo De Hond could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Tony da Mata made a huge save. Tony da Mata made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vindoo De Hond in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute Vindoo De Hond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony da Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Duda de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 79 minutes into the game, when Luiz Alcântara put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Izaltina FAD fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! After a defensive mix-up in Batalhão do Peçanha's zone, Duda de Sousa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aga Raben came out of the goal and Duda de Sousa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tony da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Väinö Caca-Rato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Batalhão do Peçanha had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
