Murillo Loureiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iwo Trzaskoma having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in RIQUELME FC's zone, Josué Matos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iwo Trzaskoma came out of the goal and Josué Matos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the RIQUELME FC defense, Matías Brasil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iwo Trzaskoma. The RIQUELME FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iwo Trzaskoma should have stopped the shot. Iwo Trzaskoma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matías Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After having played for 16 minutes, Josué Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botafogo MZRJ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Josué Matos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 34 minutes, Matías Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Férid Khalifa was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Alberto Ferdinand capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alberto Ferdinand really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. After the first half Botafogo MZRJ were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 53 minutes, Murillo Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matías Brasil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 73 minutes into the match, RIQUELME FC's goal looked a bit too open when Josué Matos came free, but Iwo Trzaskoma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matías Brasil struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Iwo Trzaskoma didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Botafogo MZRJ. In the 93rdth minute of the game Matías Brasil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RIQUELME FC's Iwo Trzaskoma was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
